Your Night

The 3rd installment of the "Do it To it" series put out by Burlesque of North America was released for SXSW this year and has been getting some amazing feedback from people. This year the comp went onto cd allowing for more tracks to be released. In all, 17 tracks were put on the cd from some of the nicest artists in the game, including a house track from myself that you can listen to / download below.

Outside of some amazing music, the cd comes with some amazing artwork and stickers. Here is a link to the Burlesque store where you can purchase the cd with shipping for only $7. That is a pretty amazing deal if you ask me.

The Zombies

"Time of the Season" is one of my favorite tracks from the era of the late 60s / early 70s. The song was written by the keyboard player, Rod Argent and was recorded at Abbey Road studios in 1967. The track blew up in 1969 which was kinda sad as at that point the band had already been split up for about 12 months. It did reach a number 3 position on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

TV on the Radio - Ambulance

The track that really got me into this group was "Wolf Like Me" which was off of their 3rd album, "Return to Cookie Mountain." After which my wife really got into all of their albums and found the song "Ambulance." It is one of those songs that make you happy that people can still write songs about love without coming off as cheesy or without sacrificing integrity by trying to appeal to a lowest common denominator with a catchy hook.
